It sounds from the other reviews as if this is the old folks' gym, so that makes it a perfect fit at our house. My husband and I both use it for basic fitness and feel that it offers enough variety for a good all around strength workout. My only complaints are that 1) the arm bars are a little uneven, giving a bit of a lopsided feel and 2) the plastic caps keep falling off the sides. And this may be because it's really just too small for him, but my husband's chief complaint is that he can't comfortably get close enough while doing curls to stand on the foot pads (which seem to be there for that purpose) so the front isn't stable and lifts up. I can't speak to the assembly issues as he handled that chore, but he is not exactly the handiest guy in the world so I would say that it's probably not too difficult. Our complaints are very minor really, and on the whole we are satisfied with the purchase.

I like this product because of easy to fit in excercise room that has sauna, eliptical,stationary bike before this addition. Not for really bulking up but more of staying fit and strong. I am 50 so just trying to maintain. Assembly was for the most part OK. Just do step by step or you will mess up for sure. 3 hours to set up with girlfriend...Overall a nice addition to our fitness room.
